Cancele

Greetings to everyone in the powerful name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is my pleasure to be writing this column. Let me share a little background about VUCA. It is an initiative that started in the year 2008 aiming to support Cancele by looking at the infrastructure development and recreation for the school. VUCA is an initiative started by a ex students of Cancele for Cancele.

As I reflect back from the previous Alumni Home Coming held in September 2009 and led by Mr. Molefi Moeketsi, it reiterated to me why VUCA is so crucial. I saw the power of GOD at work despite the challenges that we are yet to face. I also looked at the official launch of VUCA at the same Alumni Home Coming and everyone was receptive to the initiative. I did not know what to expect when we undertook the challenge of going ahead with VUCA. People pledged to support the course of VUCA and I must say some continue to live up to their words.

VUCA has a constitution which enables the Organisation to operate beyond personalities and constraints of individuals. On behalf of VUCA I solicit any idea to make this move from strength to strenght. As our former president Nelson Mandela said "It is impossible until it is done". The same holds in these early days of VUCA, but we believe in the course and vision.

It has not been easy I must acknowledge that and going forward is not going to be either. It is up to us to deal with any challenges on our way. I believe that GOD is on our side. I wish to encourage each one of us to mobilize for Cintsa and VUCA . Cancele is our past and also potentially it could be our future therefore I believe it is up to us to do something and I wish to stress that I do not believe anyone can build our school except for us as Adventists today. My dear friends I think we do have a potential it is up to us to realise the power that is within us. The school has no Dormitories therefore as VUCA we would like to do something we do not want to get excited when its September for alumni and afterwards quite up until the next alumni.

The plans to host yet another Alumni Home Coming are under way and we hope that we can meet up in Cancele (Mount Frere) in November 2011. As they say the year 2011 is the year of elevation. I pray for each one of you to be lifted first by GOD and then all our plans have a chance of success.
